GENERAL INFO

LIT conducts its annual open-call auditions for its house teams, performance classes, writers' rooms, special projects and other programs in July.

We're looking for more than just comedic talent in our players — we're looking for the LIT fit. We're devoted to fostering a positive, supportive environment that is inclusive and develops the skills and resumes of its players. We want performers who believe in this as much as we do.

We are holding auditions for: stand-ups, storytellers, poets, actors, playwrights, sketch writers & performers, screenwriters, satire writers and various improv teams (musical, long-form & short-form).

Individual performers at any level and of all types are encouraged to audition.

MID-SEASON 2022-2023

Interested in joining the LIT virtual sketch team? Please submit the below information including a Round 1 video submission between December 10, 2022 and January 3, 2023. Round 2 interviews will be held virtually in January. LIT will continue conducting callback auditions on a rolling basis based on submitted applications after the January 3rd deadline. Selected candidates will be contacted with scheduled times and additional audition information.

PROGRAM & COMEDY TYPE

Please indicate what you'd like to audition for. You may choose more than one type of comedy if we have openings. If you choose more than one, you may have multple audition times.

Why are you interested in auditioning for the types of comedy that you selected above? Which one do you want to perform most?

I understand that LIT is auditioning for its remainder of the 2022-23 season, and I am interested in:

LIT House Team. Rehearses and performs regularly. This requires a commitment for at least one full season and an annual dues payment of $350.

LIT Writers' Room. This class is for advanced students who want to write more content. This requires a four-month commitment and a payment of $711 for tuition.

LIT's 201 Courses. A 4-week course where students learn a form of comedy and perform in their own showcase. Tuition is $311 for the course.

DeLITe. (FLIPs & LIPs only) Requires one full season as a Laugh Index Player previously and annual dues of $311.

Actor for special projects (Unpaid/Paid Gigs)

Stand-Up for special shows (Unpaid/Paid Gigs)

Writer for special projects (Unpaid/Paid Gigs)

COURSEWORK
