Course Description

So, you performed your open mic set once or twice, but now what?  Learn how to work with more material, longer sets and continue to improve your open mic set.  Learn what it takes to workshop jokes and material after you've performed it.  Why didn't a joke land?  Take this class and find out.  This class will allow students to workshop their best material in a supportive environment that introduces them to the process of developing multiple, open mic sets and how to market & brand themselves.   PREREQUISITE:  LIT's Stand-Up 101 or previous LIT Stand-Up workshop or equivalent or contact LIT for permission. Classes are two hours long each week for four weeks (except for holidays). Students may miss one class throughout the course. All sales final. No refunds.

Cancellation Policy

All sales are final. No refunds. A LIT instructor may dismiss a students from the course without the right to a refund if they violate LIT’s policies for privacy, inclusion and anti-harassment. No make-up sessions will be provided if a student misses class. Classes may be recorded to assist students who miss class. Recordings are not guaranteed. If a recording of a class is shared with the students of this course, it may not be shared with anyone outside of this course. If a student consents to LIT taking photos or recordings of them for promotional purposes, those files are owned by LIT and shall be used for those purposes. LIT’s services are for educational and training purposes.
