About Jamerson
Jamerson has served as LIT's Ombudsman since May 2017. His only real qualification for being the ombudsperson is that he got a neutral score on a political bias test. And that he thinks the word "ombudsman" is an archaic term rooted in 13th century cryptic Norse code. (He also loves a bad pun). Jamerson is currently the National LAP Project Director at the Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence (MNADV). Prior to his work with MNADV, Jamerson worked at Bay Area Women Against Rape (BAWAR), the nation's first rape crisis center, directing their anti-human trafficking unit. He's also done extensive anti-oppression work, facilitating workshops for various organizations across the country. In his spare time, Jamerson helps organize a spoken word collective in the California Bay Area. He currently resides in D.C. with his partner in crime (fighting), Tarah, and her collection of books.
