ABOUT Nancy

Nancy wants nothing more than to help those at LIT find their funny. She is a performer, writer, director and producer, who has performed on various stages across DC and numerous comedy festivals around the country with Hot & Sweaty. She has produced, directed and performed in over several hundred shows and is known for giving stage time to performers of all kinds and levels. She sees your potential before you do.

Noteables 
  • Director:  She is a two-time recepient of Laugh Index Theatre's Director of the Year award for 2015-16 & 2016-17 as voted on by the players. 

  • Improviser:  In 2011, Nancy made it to the sweet 16 of WIT's improv tournament with her team, That's So Puberty.  She has been imprivisng for 8 years.  

  • Storytelling:  Winner of Story League's Bad Shape contest in April 2013  

  • Producer, Writer, Actor:  LIT's 2013 48 Hour Film Project team that won "Best Use of Prop"  

  • Theatre:  In 2014, she landed the role of Carola Binney in Noel Coward's Long Island Sound produced by Theatre Lab, and she played the leading role of Mrs. Stanley in The Man Who Came To Dinner co-produced by The Theatre Lab & Theatre J in 2015.  

  • Fun Stuff:  Voted "Most Recognizable Laugh" by her peers at WIT in 2013 and Best Laugh for 2016-17 by the Laugh Index Players, you'll know why when you hear it.  

  • Writer:  She is a also a finalist in DC Shorts' Screenwriting Competition as part of their 2017 international short film festival for a screenplay she co-wrote.  ValiDation, LIT's web series that she also co-wrote, was accepted to NoVa's International Film Festival and nominated for Best Web Series.  

Education &
Training

Nancy is a graduate of the Theatre Lab's Honors Acting Conservatory and has taken over 100 workshops from nationally-recognized comedy theatres.  Nancy has studied with the Upright Citizens Brigade Training Center, and in the fall of 2010, she completed WIT's and DC Improv's curriculum.
