Sunday summer afternoon— Sonnets, Slams, limericks, haiku? Bring it! And we’ll critique it with you!

LIT's Sunday Funday -- That's My Jam! is a free, fun way to "yes and" during a Sunday afternoon.  Anyone at any level may join in the fun.  The group will read and write poems.  

You do not need any experience.  You just need to be willing to have fun and listen.  We'll cover the basics, walk you through an exercise or two and then for those that are ready, we'll start workshopping poems.  Be ready to have an absolute blast!  

This Sunday Funday will be facilitated by Tara.  Tara is a failed professional poet after spending too much money for a  Masters Degree in English, specializing in creative writing.  While her hundreds of past poems gather dust on the shelf, she now writes poems to survive her career in the federal government and to impress inappropriate Match connections.  She’s been a member of some DC poetry groups, but took a break to care for a middle-aged bullmastiff.
