About The Event
Need a creative outlet? Â Looking for more writer room experience and feedback on your material? Â Want to take your premises and jokes to the next level? Â Are we asking you way too many questions before we get to the point? Â Make your writing better, tighter and enhance your collaboration skills with this comedy writing workshop taught by award-winning writer, Nancy Safavi. Â Students may bring any type of written material e.g. stand-up, sketch, short film, etc., and work in a writers room to develop and improve their written work. Â Â Â
Each student will also receive the opportunity to have their material read as a staged reading or performed to an audience at a LIT show on a Wednesday at 8 pm in Adams Morgan. Â Nothing is more rewarding than hearing the first laughs to something you wrote.
PREREQUISITES: Â LIT's Stand-Up 101, Sketch 101 or equivalent.
