D.C. - Speaking for the first time as President of the United States Joe Biden told the nation that they need to get ready and brace themselves, to be horribly let down and disappointed. Analyzing the speech Chuck Todd stated "For his inauguration Biden, in stark contrast to Trump's fire and brimstone speech chose a much more hopeful, and inspiring tone. There is no way that after hearing this uniting, uplifting speech millions of Americans won't feel inspired to lower their expectations."
This speech comes after a tumultuous few months since the election and in the height of a pandemic. The Biden camp declared they wanted to get out there and get ahead of things with a hopeful message showing their faith in the American people's ability to endure horrifying mistreatment and little to know support from the people in power. In his closing remarks Biden referenced President Kennedy saying "Ask not what your government can do for you, please don't ask. We've got a lot of other stuff going on right now. You are on your own." At press time Biden had signed a stimulus bill giving $900,000,000,000 to the banks.
