In this stand-up comedy course, you will:

Learn what it takes to write a joke
Prepare up to a 5-minute open mic set

In this course, you'll hone your long-form improv scene skills with focused sidecoaching as you work on a format specially selected to fit the talents of you and your classmates.

Have you ever watched Saturday Night Live and thought that you could write something like that? Ever find yourself as the funniest person in the room, but you don’t know how to do more with it?

In this course, you'll learn the basics of sketch writing and some different types of sketches. You'll learn how to take your own observations and truths and turn them into fully formed scenes. You'll also learn the mechanics of LIT's philosophy in the writers room — every joke can work, and we're all more successful when we're positive, supportive and constructive.
